Who has best NAMM News coverage?

Post by MoonMusic »

I usually hit Sonic State pretty hard during NAMM....Read news and then refresh to see if anything new comes up....I wish there was an official NAMM news site dedicated to showing webcasts live so we could watch the reveals at the same time as the people attending the show....I remember Open Labs having a live feed and it was really cool because you could type questions in real time and it was the closest thing to actually being there.....So where do you get your up to date news on the web?.....moon

www.namm.org is a good place to start.

Or follow their Twitter feed?

Like you I hit Sonic State, but stories/announcements can lag by a few days. Particularly like stuff on the Access Virus. Sometimes I don't see anything on Sonic State regarding the Virus for several weeks after the event.

Just checked the dates for NAMM: 24-27th January.

9 days from now.

Thanks Mike....I usually go to Namm's site to figure out the dates but didn't realize they updated the page during the show to what companies are displaying.....I'll have to check it after the show starts and see what changes.....

Thanks Final Saga....I'll keep that one in mind....Live coverage is good....

Timo....I don't know much about the virus stuff though I do have a Virus TDM plug that is pretty cool....I need to dig into that one more for sure....

Thanks X50player....I forgot about musicradar.....

Google will be buzzing with news as the show happens. Keep an ear to the ground.

for me

http://www.sonicstate.com

cover music tech news and NAMM fabulously

I used to visit harmonycentury.com till about 4-5 years ago - it was a fabulous site, and then I don't know what happened, it just became this weird, curious site. I've never witnessed the like on the Web before or since - it's probably fair to say that harmonycentral.com was the centre of music tech news world wide and THE primary NAMM news site, and then they changed the site and lost all of that, almost over night.

Whereabouts do they do that?
[edit] Think I found it, although it's rudimentary.

Like you, I thought the site only offered info to companies about how to buy and set up exhibits etc.

The Namm.org site sure is working slow today, and the show itself hasn't even opened yet. Wonder if everyone's hammering it.
