What i mean is i can send midi from ableton through external instrument , and record it through my souncard to ableton, but i can't receive midi message live as I am using filter cutoff to be able to automate it later on.
So i was thinking maybe there is a way to set up by 'midi setup' or 'midi patchbay' microkork sound editor to be able to map midi setting as you will do with a VST in ableton through 'configure' if it has been thought for it!
Anyone from korg team could answer that?

your post is largely unintelligble, but i will try to help.
1) The sound editor would have to be completely rewritten to become a VST. I doubt it has the functions in place to receive outside messages in the first place so you couldn't hack/mod that feature in without a complete rewrite of the program.
2) What you are trying to accomplish with the Midi should just be possible with normal midi routing in ableton. Most instruments have midi CC numbers that correspond to various internal parameters, and the synth will respond to what has been told to it by MIDI.
Please refer to page 61 in the user manual @ http://www.korg.com/services/downloads/ ... _OM_E1.pdf because I really don't have the time to walk you through this, but here goes:
- Turn the microkorg main edit knob to "Full Edit", and then turn the "Assign 1/Page" Knob to the setting page called "MIDI FLT", then turn Assign 2/Paramter knob to "CTRL CHG" and it should say "ENABLE". (this makes sure you can control it via MIDI.
-I believe the default channel was 6, if not, you can change it, by tuning knob 1 (Page) to "MIDI" and Knob 2 (Parameter) to Midi CH and selecting Channel 1 or whatever channel you want.
-Turn Knob 1 (page) now to "CC MAP" It is right after the MIDI section and this is where you map in all the parameters you want to be controlled by midi.
If you turn the knob to "Cutoff 1 " you can see the CC of Cutoff 1 is "CC 074".
Now you can map an automation curve in ableton to output on CC 074, this will change the filter in the microKORG and then you will be able to re-record this dynamically changing sound back into Ableton. I don't have the specific instructions on how to do this but youtube should help with that, search for "Midi CC Map in ableton" or something similar. Midi Routing, MIDI CC, Automated Midi CC.
GL!!!
