A procedure for loading Akai sample cds is located in the Operations Guide. I've done it myself. I don't have it in front of me, but it's listed in the TOC.
::: Korg Kronos 88 ::: Alesis Fusion 8HD ::: Kurzweil PC361 ::: Roland V-Synth ::: DSI Prophet 12 ::: DSI OB-6 ::: Korg Prophecy ::: Moog Micromoog ::: Yamaha CP-30 ::: Alesis Andromeda ::: Moog Sub37 ::: Sequential Prophet 600 ::: Korg MS2000BR ::: GSI Burn :::

Hello keyboardist06,
you don't have to load the akai wavs and map them to one key after the other.
You can load a complete akai program (e.g. sax) with all wavs included automatically and map them into the user program you wish (explained in the reference manual). Just switch to the Disk-Mode section, plugin your DVD reader and load the Akai program you want to load.
good luck

You mentioned wave files so this tells me loud and clear your trying to load S5000/S6000 or Z4/Z8 AKAI Data. The KRONOS cannot read this format without help.
The KRONOS directly supports S1000/S3000 format only, which is an entirely completely different format from the one I mentioned above.
I suggest you go and download the demo version of Awave Studio. This will convert the S5000 – Z8 format data into a SF2 file one program sound at a time.
It's either that or learn how to map wave files to a multisample on your KRONOS. Which to be honest, I would rather see you do than take the simple way out with Awave Studio.
Regards
Sharp.

The manual is pretty good, so that's worth looking at and always a great place to start. Dan really did a fine job on it.Bertotti wrote:Sharp is there info somewhere on how to do that? A good web reference or book? That you may know of?
I also recorded this video a while back that might be of help.
