Never heard of that before... maybe you have to reinstall the system

When it says "Updating the panel scan system", Does it come up with "completed" or "cannot update it" or does it simply hang?

The message usually comes up when the left or right circuit boards containing the switches are replaced, but once scanning is completed, shouldn't come up again.

Once its completed, you need to turn the power off, wait 10 seconds then turn it back on again.

You can force it to update this by holding the [Enter] and <<REW buttons down when you turn the Kronos on.

But if you haven't replaced parts, it really shouldn't be coming up at all.

Another thread you ask about restore DVDs. If this message is constantly coming up, I doubt (don't know for sure) you will be able to get past this to do the restore.

Judging by your problems in other threads, something is seriously wrong with your Kronos and I can't see restoring from DVD fixing it. Not saying it won't, but in another thread you say it says

"System error ID: 000 line: 0269. Fail to send data to psoc : 121"

Psoc is the panel scan system, so it looks like something is broken somewhere :(

EDIT: Someone had the same error message and it was caused by the RAM not being seated properly.
