Looking to pay an expert for SUPER quick tips
Hi, I've been a Korger since the Poly-800.. went from that to a T3 to a Triton and then, damn, forgot the next one, and NOW, loving the mightly Kronos.
BUT it is a beast and I have VERY little time to learn the machine.
At this point, going through hours of tutorials is not practical. I'm looking for someone who is pretty solid on the machine who would be interested in helping me out a few minutes at a time for a reasonable fee.
Anyone interested?
My first thing. I'd like to learn how to simply run a mic through it for basic singing through it into my monitors for practice and learning songs. Certainly, this will include how to route it through the appropriate effects relevant to the combi or program I am using.

Works virtually the same as on the Triton, except that you have an additional audio routing screen for each patch that you can use to bypass global audio routing.

to run mic through kronos fx you need to
1) insert the jack into input 1 or 2,adjust the gain knob, switch
"mic/line" button to mic position
2) in the global/audio set the pan of your input to 64 (centered)
3) in the bus/select set desired IFX bus
4) in the program/combi routing green "cable" will appear from input to selected IFX
5) select the effect like mic amp etc , chain it to compressor or whatever you like
it all is really simple and not in ancient dead language ))))
much more interesting is how to set up mic and desired effect chain for it permanently, to work independently of patch/combi changes

You have to set it for each one, as far as I know.simur wrote:Do I have to setup the FX in EACH program/combi/seq or there is a way to use always the same voice FX setup?
You can do it quickly by use the copy effect program in the menu that spawns if you touch the little arrow in the upper right corner of the screen on FX page (I sweared for weeks before discovering it...).

Not getting output audio
I've followed the directions here. THANK YOU.
I'm not seeing any level or hearing my mic.
I've turned the input gain wide open and when I talk or tap the mic, I'm getting an 'overload' message, so signal is getting IN.
What am I missing?
BTW, I am running out of my headphone outs, not the 1-4.

You have to route the mic to an IFX or directly to the L/R outs. You can do this globally or per patch (by ticking the "bypass global setting" in that patch's audio routing page). If you do it globally, be advised that the IFX settings will still be different for each patch (e.g. you may have a phaser in IFX slot 5 one time and a distortion in the same slot on another patch).
In the audio routing screen, look at the input that you plugged the mic imto. You can select an output bus for it. For starters, try L/R, the main outs. This should get you sound.

Still not getting Audio
OK, I'm gonna fine-tune my question:
I've got an SM58 plugged in.
Switch on back is set.
Gain is turned wide-open and I'm showing clipping.
NO sound from the mic is making it out through
my headphones jack.
Can anyone give me fine-tuned advice on what to check next?
THanks!
