Memory usage on Audio Tracks in a Song
I'm just curious if there's a difference between recording a couple bars and then copy/pasting to other parts of the song vs recording as one contiguous track. I know a lot of DAW's will save the clip as one object with multiple instances of the same object. Just wondering if Kronos does that as well, or if you'd have to do it as a sample and retrigger to get the storage savings.
afaik the audio tracks use disk streaming so I don't thing memory is much of a problem.
I also do not think the data is duplicated on disk when you duplicate a region. I seem to recall reading that they were event triggered.

I should have clarified, I didn't mean RAM memory, I meant SSD space.
But that brings up another question, since you can stream samples now, is there any real difference doing an audio track vs samples, from both a storage space and RAM standpoint?
Just trying to be as efficient as possible so I can squeeze all of my live projects in without having to use external storage, or load things in the middle of a show, etc. So far so good, but I want to do things the most efficient way NOW rather than get to a point down the road where I'm out of memory or SSD space because I've not done things as well as I could have.
