Korg Kronos sustain pedal doesn't record

Post by richford »

Ok so I notice following my previous post that sustain pedal is not working on the playback.
The info is recorded on the DAW - up down etc.. on the sustain pedal in piano roll - but it doesn't affect the playback of the Kronos.

I noticed an old post with same issue - but there is no answer there that is helpful here.

In midi Global -> Midi - the filters are all on. I don't know what Pads midi out means in the routing setup - not sure what's going on.

Any ideas? Might fix the previous issue as well...

Perhaps you started to record the pedal too soon and you are not capturing the initial pedal on signal - the all the others become opposite?

No I'm afraid that's not the answer

- as posted elsewhere it is now known only to occur if the Kronos editor is selected as a plugin - otherwise it doesn't happen

Try putting a blank bar at the start to see if that gives the system time to respond to the signal from the pedal.

I have hd this happen as a random thing....very occasionally this happens, but it is always down to me pressing the pedal down too soon. Does this happen when using the onboard sequencer?

This is a repeatable problem - and only occurs when using the Editor. As has been suggested it's perhaps not designed to be used with the Editor as a plugin - all other setups work perfectly - only the Kronos Editor screws it up.

It's a shame but there it is - just the way it seems to be
