Ok. I admit it. I'm absolutely clueless here. I go to the Korg site, upload; I think I'm uploading at least! Upload the 2.1 OS update. Here in lies the problem. And yes I do know that it's probably me. I get no indication on my computer that tells me where and how the file is.
I'm using the latest Firefox and normally don't have any problems. At least not usually anyway. Sooooooo!
Can somebody please be kind enough to help an old man and thoroughly walk him through the entire process to get his beloved Kornos 73 updated to the latest operating spec complete with all the new cx-3 sounds?
Btw. I did do the upgrade to 1.5 without any problems at all.
Thanks a bunch everybody!

first , terminology. You are not ' uploading ' 2.1 from the Korg site.
on my mac'Safari there is a ' downloads ' folder
thats where d/l files sit until I remove them
Using Safari there is a tiny down arrow icon in the upper right hand corner
to quickly locate that ' downloads ' folder
Also, there is a 'search ' icon on my mac.
I bet there is a ' search ' feature on Windows, too.

Once your file has finished downloading you can open it by clicking on the arrow (facing down) in the top right-hand corner of your Firefox screen and then clicking on the file icon to the right.

One possibility which could be confusing you is if you've at some point hidden the toolbar which shows the green arrow in the screenshot in the previous post.
If you don't see that arrow then you have 2 options:
1. Reenable the Navigation Toolbar so it shows up (you have to right-click in an unused part of some other toolbar to do this).
2. Find the files in the folder they're downloaded to - which is something like "Downloads" or "My Downloads" in your documents folder. Exact location varies depending which version of Windows you have.

For the future you could also tell Firefox to save downloads to a location of your choice. There are two options. Defining a general location for downloads or defining the location each time before a download is started.jeremykeys wrote: I get no indication on my computer that tells me where and how the file is.
To make changes for downloads you need only to select the "Options" in the main menu (Extra), select "General" panel and you will find those two download-options directly there ...
