Some questions about the microkorg

Post by DietG »

Hi

I don't know if this is the right section for this question, so sorry if I'm in the wrong one.

I'm about to buy a Microkorg and a Kaossilator pro.
I've already read that you can connect the Microkorg and Kaossilator through midi cables.

Now here's my questions:

If I have connected the Microkorg and Kaossilator pro through midi, and I want to connect them to an amplifier, can I do this directly? or does it really have to go through a line mixer first? And if so, what cables do I need? And how do I set this up?

Sorry if this is a dumb question but I can't figure this out.

Thanks in advance!

The microKorg has two "line out" jacks ("Left/mono" and "Right"). You can put the output of the the "L/mono" jack straight into a single-channel amplifier, or use two cable (one for "L/mono", one for "Right") to drive a stereo amplifier.

You can control the microKorg output with its own "volume" control.

You don't need a mixer.

If you want to take audio output from _both_ boxes, you _will_ need a mixer.
