Downloading EX purchases for the Korg Kronos

I understand now after working all day to figure it out how to put the patches in different user banks. However, it seems that I can't fit all of the Bolder patches into the user banks. I'm wondering if there is a way to create new user banks? I haven't found info on this, or what to do? The customer service rep at Bolder said all of the files would go into User G, but there's not enough room to put them all there and actually on my kronos, not enough room anywhere. Anyone have a suggestion as to what I can do other than just using individual patches as needed? Thanks again, L.

How about loading into user AA,BB,CC,DD,EE,FF or GG?

I doubt he meant you could fit them ALL in there. I think what was meant is as you stated "they all go into User G" That is just the location they were all set for. So no, you are not going to get them all into one bank - that is partly because these sounds are a great deal, you get for than a couple programs in each set.

I have way more programs than could ever fit at one time and that is my approach. I load a pcg that contains what I need for any given project and add and delete from that as needed. If you search the forum you will find this is pretty common and that people tend to fill up and have different workflows for dealing with that.

For Bolder Sounds collection, you need to load the samples before auditioning the programs. But it's a bit more complex than that. Check out page 811 of the Parameter Guide to read about auditioning sounds from disk.

As for the Bolder collections themselves, I would implement what Ed explained to you. No need to have everything open at once, not to mention that sometimes it is impossible to achieve.

Hi,

I hope someone can suggest something to help me with this. I just tried to start up my Korg Kronos X which I've had for about 1 year when I got this prompt:
System Startup Fails
Please turn the Kronos off, wait and then turn it back on. (If any USB devices are connected, please disconnected them first).

I did these things. I restarted my computer as well and plugged the workstation into another DC outlet.

Any one have any idea why this would happen? I don't think I can reinstall the system if it doesn't boot up. The red line goes about 1/2 an inch before the prompt comes up.

This is one of my pet peeves about the Kronos language.
You literally need a PhD in Kronosology to use it fully.
