Hey, just looking for some input on how I would make a Mini KP 2 work with my bass.
From what I've gathered so far, I'd be best off putting it in the effects loop of my amp, because this -
Bass > KP > Amp
- would apparently have impedance issues and the signal from the bass would be too quiet. Whereas if I put the KP in an effects loop, it will be after the pre-amp and will have a line level signal. Does that sound right?
My main query now is what cables I would need. Presumably 1/4 jack to mini jack would work, but I'm not sure about stereo vs mono. Would I be right in saying that my bass and amp are probably mono, but the KP deals with stereo signals? Would I need a cable to specifically convert the bass to stereo, then a cable to convert stereo to mono after the KP? Or would mono cables work fine?
Let me know if any other issues may arise.
Thanks.

Hi, just tried it with a guitar amp that has serial effects loop and no possibility to set dry-wet level of loop. Could not get it workin. Dry signal is distorted and hardly audible. Wet signal (when you touch pad) is good, but with some effects the volume levels are huge, with other effects very low. So, someone suggested that one should have a parallel effects loop, or a parallel switcher. http://lehle.com/EN/Lehle-Parallel-L Those these are just so expensive, that i ended up using mini KP2 as a standalone unit.
