Sidechain question?
Anyone know how to silence a kick drum for side chain in the New Kronos?

you can do this by setting the keyzone to C#1 in the drumtrack timbreyaboy07 wrote:Hey thanks QuiRobinez, great video!
I'm already familiar with your video.
I wanted to silence the kick drum so that I don't hear it and it still give the side chain effect?
then you can't hear the bass kick anymore which is at C1
the kick is still send to the effect bus but you won't hear it.
you can use this trick also to seperate the kick from the high hats on two timbres. Then you can mute / unmute the kick whenever you want.
another similar trick is using the effect busses from the drumtrack to use as an input for the synth engines, you can use it for sidechaining or routing drumtracks through synth engine filters. In the video below i also show how to mute the audio of the drumtrack, but still hearing the effect on the synth engine
