import samples from drive

Post by bbtheking »

Hi guys! I was wondering can you import samples from an external drive either flash or usb? I've been trying to figure this one out for 2 days! LOL

Yes. Which step is not working, reading the drive, loading the samples...?

The drive is seen. It just is not seeing the sample files on the drive. It says that all the folders on the drive are 4kb. I've verified that there is much more than that on the drive. From there I can't open the folders to get to the samples. I want to import the independent samples to create my own programs.

Kronos can import wav files that are either 44.1 or 48 K. If your wav files are saved at a higher sampling rate then you must convert them before you can import. 8)

Ok... So I got some files to be recognized, but I'm not sure how to map them. That's a whole new animal. Not sure why some files are recognized and some aren't. They are all wave files.

Have you tried formatting the flash/usb drive on the Kronos.

I've had issues in the past reading/using usb drives formatted (FAT32) on a Mac/PC.

+1 broadwave
I also format all drives directly from the Kronos before using these.
Never had any problem with usb drives doing so.
