Chord name display on Kronos 2
Hello All,
I just bought a Kronos 2 - 61 note keyboard. I also own a PA900 keyboard. In the PA900, when I play a chord it shows the chord name on the display. But I can't find that feature on the Kronos. Is there a way to do so in Kronos? Or can I purchase a tool or some kind of app that will do the same for me if Kronos does not have such built in feature?
Thanks

Thank you. Yeah, I know GB in Mac has that feature. But I don't have a Mac and don't wanna carry a laptop with me. I can definitely try the iPad version. I could not see that on the iPhone version though.ando727 wrote:I don't think the Kronos has this.
If you own an iPad or a Mac computer, you could connect the Kronos to Garageband (MIDI over USB). It has a chord display feature.
Thanks

Thank you. Yes, the feature is in KARMA. But if I switch KARMA on, then the KARMA will start playing the effects as well which I do not want. Also, I mostly need the chord feature in the SETLIST mode.GregC wrote:its in Karmaswarupmahapatra wrote:Hello All,

its a stretch but you can see the note tick marks on the keyboard without Karma on. Have to have good eyesightswarupmahapatra wrote:Thank you. Yes, the feature is in KARMA. It is true that the Chord Display feature of KARMA only works when KARMA is turned on.
However, if you want to use KARMA to just display the Chord Analysis, without KARMA actually doing anything else, you could use this "trick":
- Assign a single KARMA Module (assuming a combi) to Module A. Use GE 0000.
- If in a combi, make sure the other 3 Modules are turned off (Run is off).
- On the KARMA > GE Setup/Key Zones tab (7.1), zone the Module to the full range of the keyboard (C-1 to G9).
- Turn on the "Thru In Zone" checkbox.
- On the KARMA > MIDI Filter/CC Offsets tab (7.2), uncheck all the checkboxes under "Transmit MIDI Filter". This makes it so the GE doesn't transmit *anything* including notes.
Therefore, with KARMA turned on, you should hear no activity from KARMA, yet the chord display will still work. This may work for what you want, give it a try.

Thank you so much Stephen. Sorry about the late response as I was out on vacation. I will try that trick today and post back my results.StephenKay wrote:It is true that the Chord Display feature of KARMA only works when KARMA is turned on.
