Pa4x time signature problem

Post by dabdab111 »

My Pa4x has suddenly stopped keeping the time I set in the metronome setup. I go back to start to record and and it just resets back to 4/4. I have been through the manual and I am following the steps as described but no joy.

Thanking in anticipation. :)

Hello. I tried from the metronome in style and sequencer mode. I was changing from 4/4 to 7/8 and it just keeps reverting back to 4/4? I went through the guidebook and followed exactly the steps but no luck.

Thanks for replying.

In Backing Sequence Mode you cannot change the Meter (or Time Signature), because it has to match the Style’s Meter.
In Multitrack Sequencer Mode you can only Change Meter (time signature) when Song is empty.
Is first procedure on new song.
You can insert a meter change in the middle of the Song, use the “Insert Measure” function from Sequencer Menu / Song Edit.

Thank you very much Nemic. It seems I've confused myself again. I've had a stroke which causes these sort of memory problems for me.

Again, thank you to you Nemik and Sam. I really do appreciate your support.

Regards a,

Dave.

@Dave.
best way to dealing with changing time signature is using DAW.
BTW, is always good to have friendly DAW to editing, creating Styles.
Is much more possibility, each Style track in Style is just midi, which support much more that can be done on Pa Arranger.
Using DAW you can very easily add some parameters supported by Arrangers, but hard to create them on Korg, like Using Low Pass Filter Cutoff (Brightness) CC#74, Filter Resonance (Harmonic Content) CC#71,..etc.
On Korg you can access them in Event Edit, but is hard to do all manually when you want to smooth them from on value to other, in DAW you got more tools to do this.

Hi Nemic. Thank you so much for your help and advice. I used to know all this stuff and then the two strokes hit me hard memory wise.

I have to record on the iPad video when I relearn the elements you explained so when I forget I can I have a record.

Thank you so much. ☺️
