Best way to insert drum patterns into sequence?

Post by yeskeys »

Working in the sequencer, I just want to add different drum patterns to play my drum channel strip, let's say it's on channel 10. (I'd like to mimic the behavior when creating a song from a template, where I can choose the pattern and the measures I want to employ.)

Is there a simple way to do this?

Thanks in advance people.

there are a few hundred drum kits to pick from. You will need to figure out your pref. Based on the type of music you are playing.

Its easy to copy a program into the SEQ. Each program has a drum kit , pattern and tempo automatically assigned.

Experiment with different kits and different patterns. You are going to need to take time to experiment IMO.

I have 60 originals on SC and have my prefs on kits. I dope out what patterns will work with my song ideas. And adjust tempo, Eq, Fx, etc

I believe you want to go to the Pattern tab, then use the upper right drop down menu.

Thanks for the responses, I was able to get it happening using the Put to MIDI Track command.
