Where can I find a master class on the MS20 PatchPanel?

This is the one thing on the Kronos I haven't approached because I just don't understand the i/o and signal flow. Does anyone have videos or tutorials for this thing?

The various manuals for the MS-20 might be helpful, as they offer quite detailed explanations and examples.

There are some useful tutorial videos on Youtube. Try these two for starters - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0VqKlzS5Sjs and https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Wv7O95Gc2EY

There isn't one really. The MS20 is a semi modular synthesizer. It's sort of an "exploration synth". You have to find "patches" on it by playing around with the cables and tweaking it till you make something cool.

What I highly recommend is to take the patch book that comes with the MS20 (It should be available as a PDF from Korg's website) and spend time learning the workflow of the synthesizer.

The patch book shows a bunch of configurations for the patch bay and sounds you can make. Constructing them and deconstructing them will help you learn a lot about the unit.

Another thing that can also help you is pretty much understanding the basics of how a synthesizer works. The LFO's Filters, Noise, Decay,Sustain etc. etc. That can help you create the basic sounds you want before playing with the patch cables to manipulate it.

With the patch bay it comes down to manipulating the signals to do certain things. It's hard to say exactly what "doing this or plugging in that cable" will do because it depends heavily on the sound you've created with the knob adjustments alone.

I would recommend learning the principles of how the knobs work and then playing with the patch bay to see how it effects the sounds you make. It's one of those instruments you have to be hands on with. When I first got my MS-20 I spent like a week completely absorbed in it creating patches. I was having a lot fun. There certainly are a lot of surprises with the MS20.
That was the method I used to get comfortable with the unit and I get lost pretty easily.

On the Kronos it's the same patch ability but with the Kronos capabilities per usual of making things extremely more complex and intricate sounding. But if you get the basics down you can appreciate the features more.
