This website is very slow and takes a long time to load

Post by Yamko »

Here in Belgium we have a very good network infrastructure, since this website is back online it is sluggish and very slow and very often not reachable!!!
I am starting to think that the same IT people are working here as with the korg (Pa5) keyboard programmers!!
Translation also does not work anymore, which used to be no problem,.
And the problem is not here!! Every website can be translated perfectly except this one!!

Please leave the management to people who can!!!!

Except Korg Forums which is very slow.

Good morning, since this morning I have determined that the problem "slow loading" has been solved!!
Still a positive note and thanks to the person(s) who solved this!
If it is good, it may also be said.
PS: now only the translation problem (google translate).
It is always mentioned that only my language (Dutch) is observed.

As of Jan 17 I still find the performance to be very slow, approximately three times as slow as the previous version, loading all pages.

I'm on the US East Coast (Atlanta, GA), fiber with download speeds of 240Mbps.

Just wanted to note that it was slow when I made the previous post a few minutes ago. Now, suddenly, it's performing better than the previous version did.

I'm not sure if the performance problem is random or not. Will keep an eye on it and report what I find.

(1 minute later...)

And now it's back to the previous poor performance. Apparently this is random. I would think it might be related to concurrency / user load, but the software was reporting me as the only user logged in.

Be happy to perform any tests that would help you diagnose and resolve the issue (been a corporate software dev for 35 years), just let me know how I can help.

The Forum website is very slow here in USA specially in the afternoon.
It takes almost a minute to load for every request, Home page, Login, New Post, etc...

honeypot to tarpit, do not pass go!

Post by thethirdapple »

too late? Those pesky humans are at it again…

https://zadzmo.org/code/nepenthes/

I don't suggest actually using this solution but... if properly done, a honeypot front end could lead them into a tarpit which a human knows how to bypass...

just sayin wondering if its bot's and crawlers, re-indexing this "new" site, therefore causing an auto throttle, slowing things down? I am always amazed at the number of crawlers on the KLF board.

will be nice again when its actual humans:

Today it's so slooooooow loading that it is a pain.
Sharp, you should take a chat with Saul at Yamaha Musicians Forum.
Look into the Korg part.

ATB. 👍
Cheers 🥂

I confirm too that loading pages, login, navigation are very slow today and most of the time from USA.
In contrast the PSR Tutorial Forum is very fast and in one click, one second you have all pages loaded.

During the past two days the forum loads quick and running fast when browse.
Excellent! 👍🌞

EDIT:

Sadly, tonight (next day) it looks like we're back to "normal", slower than slow.... :? #-o
Cheers 🥂
