Expression pedal

Post by tand »

Hello guys.

May you recommend me any good expression pedal to buy?

I'd like to buy one but I don't know which are the good ones.

I've used them exclusively with Korg boards for years.

Yamaha FC-7.

If you pedalboard is tight and short on space. Moog EP-3 is an option.

FC-7 is my favorite.

I've used M-Audio EX-P and Behringer FCV100 with no problems. Both are inexpensive. The Behringer is pretty versatile as it can be used as either a CV controller, or a stereo volume swell pedal.

I have used a Roland expression pedal and a Yamaha FC7 so far. Both pedals showed pros and cons in my use.

Then I bought a Moog EP3 for my Prophet 6 and prefer it by far over everything I had so far (build quality, dimensions, functionality). To me it's the best expression pedal on the market - at a very decent price. I will buy more of them to replace all my other expression pedals soon.

My Moog EP3 has become "loose" over time, it won't stay in the "full on" position anymore but the spring pushes it back a bit when you let go. Tried adjusting it to no effect. YMMV.
