What you always wanted to ask Mr. Phillips
Hi all,
as some of you know, Dan aka danatkorg offered me his availability for an interview on the blog.
I thought maybe the following is a good idea - if there is a question you always wanted to ask Dan then please let me know.

Great idea, Peter. Somewhat of a take-off from what you were proposing to me (right). Sounds very interesting.
Cheers,
Eric

Hi Peter,
Yes, this is a better idea. I think an "Ask the Expert (or other notable person)" section to your blog would be very interesting. Once you give this a run with Dan, maybe other "notables" would be interested in participating, myself included.
Hope that clears up what I meant.
Cheers,
Eric

Can I ask if this interview is for Oasys people, or can we ask about other products?
If so:
1 - Are there any expansion possibilities on the horizon for the M3 other than the Radias and 256MB sample expansion. I have seen alot about USB expansions. I assume that given the hardware, this is the only real way to go.

Hi Icmorley,
when it comes to equipment this interview will be focused on OASYS, sorry. I do not have any experience with Korg's M3.
But we won't talk about OASYS only. Dan is a very knowledgeable person which is the reason why he is writing for Electronic Musician.. so that is how the interview can be seen.

Dan and is group don't work on the other products, so he won't have much to offer.lcmorley wrote:Can I ask if this interview is for Oasys people, or can we ask about other products?

For the M3, we have listed the concept of the USB-PCM expansion and that is the logical next expansion after the EX-FW, which will be shipping by mid-November.
We're not ready to commit to a release date for the first PCM expansion yet, but work has started. More new to come.

Jerry

Thankyou Peter for the opportunity.
Ok, here is my question -
"Korg have taken on a challenge, and perhaps risk, delivering the Oasys to the mainstream Synthesizer/Keyboard market. With Multicore processors becoming increasingly available, and assuming the Oasys concept is a success and continued, what sonic capabilities ‘could’ be possible for a second generation Oasys?"

Hi all,
I know that you all will have many interesting questions about the future of the OASYS! Unfortunately, I won't be able to answer *any* of them. I'd love to, but I can't talk about unannounced plans.
Best regards,
Dan
