OASYS with RAM less than 1GB
Just wondering How will Oasys function at just 512MB, 256MB or 128MB RAM ?
World needs Nikola Tesla’s technologies

The OASYS gets its workstation-like quick access to sounds by loading ALL of the factory multisamples into RAM on power up. This mimics other workstations that have samples pre-burned onto ROM chips inside the keyboard.
As Dan mentions, you need a minimum of 1 GB of RAM to load:
-- the Operating System and OASYS programs
-- Factory sound set
-- EXS1 sound set
When you add the 2nd GB of RAM, this enables to also "pre-load":
-- EXs2 (Concert Grand)
-- EXs3 (if you have OS 1.3 or later)
Especially compared with the price of the OASYS itself, the cost of the "Extra" 1 GB RAM stick is not much.
