EXB-DI board, strange behavior

Post by mozartella »

I finally received my EXB-DI board, installed it, and I could use, at least with my Oasys 008000 the Adat part, without trouble being on Oasys INTERNAL clock...When the EXB-DI board was not installed, I could without any problems, use the SPDIF IN/OUT from and to my RME FF800 and, at that time the RME was the Master and the SPDIF connection was working very well...at 48'000

Now, this morning I went to Korg dealer and asked a World clock cable, and one more optical SPDIF, then, I did.....

On my RME FF800, I have many possibilities to connect extra gears or cables, and they are like MIDI I/O, 1 time, WORLD CLOCK OUT 1 time, 1 time ADAT1 I/O, one time ADAT2 I/O, 1 time a Coaxial I/O, and of course 8 analog I/O..... I also have the audioboard connected with a firewire of 800, NOT 400......

Since, I connected the Oasys World clock cable, from Oasys side, and from the EXB-DI board, the World clock IN and the optical Adat OUT to the audioboard RME world clock OUT, and the ADAT 1 IN, and I also connected the In and OUT of the SPDIF from Oasys, to ADAT2 IN and OUT. now my pour Oasys, is sending me wrong clock message, either from the World clock, or from the SPDIF, and if I like to switch it back to INTERNAL, my pour Oasys do not allow me to do so, I have to shut down the Oasys, disconnect the world clock cable and both the Adat and SPDIF cable.... Right now, I do not have any analog cables connected to it, and NO coaxial either....

What do I do now?

If I wait for the ADATMOD module, coming from Korg Japan. and knowing my Oasys must be fixed... that would eventually fixes all my troubles, ? or something else I must check? the Oasys SPIDF it as 48'000 and not at 96'000....and the RME is still the master.....?????

thanks you
Oasys 76, serial 000800 and Korg PA1 X PRO

I don't know if your OASYS needs the ADAT modification, but if it does, there's no sense working with ADAT until the mod is done.

then dear Dan, your answer must be the right one, and knowing my Oasys is number 800, that would confirm, I have real troubles, with the EXB-DI board, and, going to disconect it, until the mod is installed...

thanks
