I've just been over and checked this out. The arrangement is great. You would think that this is a recording of a band.

Sal has done some great things with the PA1X in this arrangement.

It mentions in the footnote on the site where the song is posted that Sal posted a video of the style making. Anyone know where I can find this?
Cheers

Dave

I really enjoyed the arrangement of An Affair to Remember. Al has a great voice and Sal is a genius at styles. What a show they could put on together.
On the same web site "That's Life" was on there but I could not get it to play. Was there only meant to be one song?
Hope we can hear more from Al & Sal.
How about making a CD we could purchase or midi file we could play on the Korg.
This is my kind of music.
Thankyou for the Music.
Best Wishes.
Chris.
Just been back to the web site and "That's Life" worked fine. I like this music.
Hope there will be more to come. Chris.

Hi Everyone,

Sal here.

Thanks for all your comments. Al has a fantastic voice and i've really enjoyed creating this great song with Al and there is plenty to come from both of us im sure!

I've just finished another Style which is based on the song "kington Town" from UB40 which i absolutely love!!
Here's the link:

Let me know your comments.

Al if you read this, maybe it's not your kind of song but im 100% certain that it will sound the nuts with your vocals on top. Whoever else wants to put their lyrics onto my styles please let me know as i really want to put an album together.

Thanks,
Sal

Hello Sal. Just heard "Kingston Town". Nice track man. I'll get the lyrics and will take a shot at this beautiful reggae sound and beat. To Keep all in context, this is another good example of the Korg Pa1x's great system and style creation possibilities. Keep up the good work. :D

Hey Al,

Thanks man. I think i still need to work on the volumes of all the instruments though. Im just not 100% happy with the balance.

I'll keep fiddling around with it.

Hey Sal and Al,

You guys could produce a great album working together like this. Your talent is outstanding. If you want to produce a DVD, just film yourselves on home digital video recorders, and if you want any help mixing and sychronising the multiple frames/ windows to make a nice DVD, please just ask.

Rob, how are ya? Thanks for the invitation. I do not understand the concept of the DVD. Can you explain further how this will work? Maybe I am missing something. How will this plan work? Thanks

If you guys do produce an album that would be great. I would certainly purchase it.
Sal well done on Kingston Town.
Did you manage to achieve anything with the BOHM midis I sent you?
Chris.

Hi Al,

Well, if you film youself singin' the vocals and Sal films himself playin' the Pa, then each of you will have a video clip synchronised to the sound track. What I would do is to use the mixing facilities of Adobe Premiere Pro to mix the video clips, alternating and sometimes showing both clips at the same time, while you both perform the music. I would also take a final mixed soundtrack from you, for incorporation on the DVD. I wouldnot touch the soundtrack, but wopuld sync the lip movements and keyboard actions to the soundtrack you provided.

Then there would be a menu from which each track of the album could be individually selected, or a "play all" option that plays everything sequentially.

It would be similar in concept to how we produced "Arranger Secrets". Sal could even use two cameras, one frontal, the other sideways showing the finger work on the keys.

You would each use one or more Digital Video camcorders and send me mini-DV tapes, plus a USB pen drive containing the final audio tracks for inclusion on the DVD. Or if you want to get a power PC and Adobe Premiere Pro and Adobe Encore, I can probably help you to do the video editing yourselves.

Well Rob, you really clarified the concept. This would be some challenge. I don't know about the U.K., but here in the U.S.A. there are major copy write laws that would stop us in our tracks performing and selling the songs we are doing. Maybe there are good writers out here in Korgland who could write or use there original songs. This would be a nice challenge also. I wouldn't mind singing original material.

In the mean time, I will communicate with Sal to see what his position is. This project is "BIG." Personally, I would rather concentrate on and compile more music producing a well done CD with at least 12 songs accompanied with photos. I am a Photographer also I know the video thing would certainly need proper lighting in order to add a plus to the quality. This too would take us away from concentrating on music. Hope I didn't cut my arm off? :D Any suggestions would be welcomed.

Hi Al,

It is not too difficult to apply for the Mechanical Rights to do a cover version of any song. I know here in Ireland you apply to the MCPS and they arrange the license and costs. The costs depends on the number of copies and medium you intent to produce.

If you need any help producing a CD or anything just shout !!
Regards

Mick

Hey Guys,

Heres the link to Me and Mrs Jones with Al's vocals over the song.
http://www.createsongstyles.com/index.p ... task,view/

In my opinion the vocals are great. Al is a very big Talent.

Hopefully Al will be singing Kingston Town and also a new style that i've created which is based on the song called "I just wanna make love to you" from the Diet coke adverts. I just had a sudden urge to do this particular song!

Heres the link to the style for you guys to listen too, it's without vocals for now.

Is it just me or does anyone else have problems trying to click anything on the CreateSongStyles website?
