copying from combinations in sequence mode
when i go to sequence mode and record one of the on board drum patterns on track 1, then i try to record one of the on board combinations on track 2 by keying in copy from combination.when i turn on the drums and try to play the combination along with the drums everything comes out crazy.I can do the same thing in progarm mode and every thing comes out find every time.can anyone in the forum help me,if they can understand what i,m trying to do.
You should either copy the combi in it's entirety to tracks 1-8 or 9-16 and work around it, using the other 8 tracks or,
copy a program from a combi, keeping in mind that you may have to manually replicate settings and parameters.
This is because the program may be sharing a midi track, or using parameters, effects, arp. settings, etc., with other aspects of the combi. Just copying a program (with effects) does not necessarily copy parameters and setting needed to replicate it.

Stop there...I wouldn't suggest you go about sequencing in this fashion. What I mean is...when you are coping a Combi into a sequence...the Combi will overwrite tracks 1-8 or 9-16...depending on where you tell it to go. Don't do your drums first.when i go to sequence mode and record one of the on board drum patterns on track 1,
The good news is that most Combi's have a drum track or two. So you can find the drums you bring in...change the kit if you want to...and then record your drums. Also, most Combi's don't use all 8 tracks...but they will be brought in anyway. Check to see which tracks are INT and which ones are OFF. You can re-use the ones that are OFF for other stuff if you like.
A Combi is 8 Programs. You can only have 1 Program per Track...so you can't copy a Combi to Track 2. It's either Tracks 1-8 or Tracks 9-16.then i try to record one of the on board combinations on track 2 by keying in copy from combination.
I hope this helps
