HELP.........

I have had this combi for some time that if I enter this, the my O will lockup and I´ll have to reboot. Now I was working on a little demo for Ivarblade so I set it to remember my last setup on bootup. Now I by mistake hit this combi and now my O is stuck on this combi.
WHAT CAN I DO :wacky:

Pleace help I have a projekt to finich soon.

Can I help this by removing the backup battery maby

I believe that the magic key combination is to hold ENTER+0 when powering up- this will initialize all the soundbanks when powering up. Then when the unit is up and running you can change your Global preference and reload all your sounds.

ONLY DO THIS IF YOU HAVE A COMPLETE BACK-UP OF YOUR SOUNDS.

I'm at home so I am doing this from memory, but I believe ENTER+0 is the right keys.

I have SOME mackup but my latest work has not been saved. Will this include all the combis as well?

Yes, this would wipe out everything. So based on your situation it feels a bit too severe. Let me check what else could be done.

I'm amazed that there's a combi that freezes the Oasys just by loading it!

Yes, but there is. I tryed to pass it on to Kay, but something whent wrong.
It does this on my other Oasys to so it´s not my current O unfortunantly it with my brother on gig. Still this is an isolated insident, since I am the only one to have it, so dount worry about it.

Are you using the KARMA Labs KARMA OASYS software, to create your own GE?

Brandon and I spoke and feel that doing an install of the same OS you're currently running (do not format the drive or anything, just run the basic updater again) is the way to go. This will reset your Global preferences but not touch any of your sounds in any USER Banks. If you have edited/changed sounds in the INT Banks they would be reset, however.

But this is the likely best path to try. OK?

Hi Dan

Yes I am, but this is a combi made in the first Os was it 1.3 where there was a few issues with this. So dount think it has anything to do with the ge´s i make. If you would like for study I can try to send it to you guy´s.

Hi again

I didnt work, the O still boots up on the combi. Now I am getting worried

I even tryed the enter + 0 solution, no responce eighter....am I screwed?

Sorry if I sounded defencive, I didnt mean it that way. I just dount think this it´s the Ge since it a standard one I used before I got the Ge editor.
Thats what I ment. The Combis I made then was for my brother that has my other Oasys. He a tricord player so I arranged some combis for him with different splits and they all use fixed root position in the combis. Something I dount think many uses, maby this is why it hasent been seen until now?? Just a guess!
