How to send 'tap tempo' via midi using KP3

hi guys

anyone knows whether this is possible?
basically i have yamaha motif xs which doesn't have the 'tap tempo' function. so i'm wondering if i can use the kp3's tap tempo function to change my motif's tempo via midi.

i tried midi out from my kp3 to midi in my yamaha motif. and i guess it isn't so simple huh.

then you should configure midi clock source on yamaha.
