can I control syth or vocoder from a MIDI external device (e.g. midi keyboard)?

I'm not sure that youve posted this in the correct forum, but to answer your question. Yes.

The midi keyboard would just plug straight into the synth to control it. Alternatively you could get a keyboard synth which would have all 3 features built into 1. See the Korg R3 or the MicroKorg. It also has a midi out incase you want to connect via MIDI to any other devices

im talk about kp3, connect a midi keyboard to kp3, and play the synth, or play drums... i have a akai mpd24 for that, and i can find to make work that..

if you want to trigger these things from your keyboard i think you will be disappointed, though i'm not sure what the mpd is capable of in that regard.

if you don't understand midi scripting it's probably not going to happen.
