nice, but will not match any qualityclaims. its a toy. but you can use toys for creating music.
and its just 30$ on amazon...

thx! for posting! acording to amazon comments you can use headphones...
haha maybe I keep that and send back the Kaossilator... shame on Korg :D

I know it's just a toy and the sound quality isn't all that (though it's not bad to say it is a toy). You can get it for about £21 on Amazon over here too, which is a bargain for such a thing.

I posted it up here partly as a joke but partly because what it can do is not unlike a Kaoss Pad. Just one aimed at a slightly younger market. It's not as far as it first appears behind Korg...

Only a few seconds off the loop time allowed for the Kaossilator Pro too.

And I wouldn't be surprised if someone would be able to hack it and/or the software to allow it to take your own samples too.

It seems that the Audioquality is okay if you use headphones.
It can tempochange with pitch!

See? It is pretty impressive for a toy. Hence Korg should watch out. They need to up their game. Being compared, albeit with tongue in cheek, to a kiddy toy is not good for a "pro" company.

Also, I had read that nomeist link you posted but didn't read as far as the comments. Excellent. I need to cancel my Kaossilator Pro order now...

The U-create is more like a mixture of kp3 and sampler and Kpro.

I'll wait till I get both. Then I will do a 30$ vs. 400$ review.
And it will be a hard time for the KPro. And in the end I will keep both I guess

I intend to get both too. And keep both. Especially as it seems quite likely that you'll be able to load your own samples onto the U-Create.

However, if I get that too, my set-up is going to be as much like a playroom than a music studio...

You haven't heard it yet! :p

But hopefully it will sound good or, at least, interesting...

And hopefully it won't just attract the wrong demographic... I don't fancy only being able to get gigs at nurseries and kids' birthday parties.

I *think* that was the same device Brian Eno was using in a documentary I saw about Herbie Hancock called "Herbie Hancock: Possibilities." Unfortunately it was hard to get a good look at the thing, and alas the Eno segment was rather short...
