Saving bpm / key / note range on kaossilator pro

Post by me »

Totally new to these impressive devices and I have a quick question that I can't seem to answer myself.

When I save a loop to the SD card... why won't it save the Bpm that it was saved at? I'll record and save a loop that is 140 Bpm and when I turn turn it on the next day and recall the loop it starts at 120 Bpm. The Bpm that it always starts up at. I hope there is something really stupid that I am doing or missing here. Please help!

Yeah the Kaossilator Pro is more of a keyless synth instrument than the All in wonder that people keep bitching about that it is not.

for $400 you get a killer electronic drumkit that you can program to play itself...PCM synth sounds that you can program to play itself, and an amazing live sound on sound looper.

So yeah this thing will not wash your dishes nor save the BMP setting aside from setting/saving your BMP in global settings.

But for everything you get, I think its fine to work with this limitation.

Ok it says in the korg manual for kaossilator pro that program scale key and note range should be saved when I set the K pro up how I want and hit WRITE followed by the program number. All of the afforementioned parameters should be saved.

However, on turning off/on only the program number has been saved, not key or note range.

This contradicts the manual.

What's going on?

I know this isn't exactly the answer you wanted, but can't you just keep a little reference notebook with:

Song1: bpm 148, etc..? And adjust accordingly each time?
