Routing KP3 in Ableton

Hello all, new to the forum and have some questions regarding using the KP3 with ableton.

I bought a KP3 yesterday and finally got it hooked up today. I'm running ableton on my comp to a focusrite saffire 6 interface (2in/4out). From there I have audio outputs to the KP3 and then from the KP3 back to the interface. The interface is then connected to my monitors.

I am trying to use the KP3 just for effects on the audio, and be able to record the audio back into ableton with the effects added.

Unfortunately when I try to use the KP3 i get no response with the effects, the only thing that works is the synth's and even then I don't have to be in ableton for them to play they just will play through my monitors.

My question is, and I know this could be more of an ableton question but i figure there are people on this forum who have used it with ableton, how do i route the audio in ableton to be able to record the audio post-fx from the KP3, and is it possible with my setup(i.e. saffire 6 usb)?

Any help will be much appreciated as this is a very intriguing instrument.
