Samples out of sync after loading

Post by gameover409 »

I just purchased a kp3 and have had a blast with it for the last two days, but I'm having a seriously annoying problem. When I'm creating beats everything sounds great and works great but after saving and then reloading the program, all the samples are completely out of sync. When I make them they are perfectly in time. When I save it is perfectly in time. But after loading a saved file all of the samples are completely out of sync. Could this be an SD Card issue or is there something I'm missing?

I should also mention, I tried recording 4 samples starting at the exact same start point, where the parts were exactly the same, and after saving and reloading they were all out of sync. So I know it's not an issue of starting to record the samples at different points. I also bought a new 2gb sd card, formatted it in the kp3 and tried again. Same problem. If anyone has any ideas, I'd appreciate any direction on this issue.

if your loops have the same duration, it might be O.S. version and the loop type, there are a lot of posts about this subject.
The solution should be : upgrade to O.S. 2.0 and choose loop type 3.

This problem is usually because each loop has a different amount of dead space at the front of the sample. You can see the difference by using the editor to view the signal for each sample, and each one will have the first beat at a different point from the start. So you can export them to a computer and edit them with a DAW or sample editor to get rid of the dead space in front of the first beat. While you're in the editor, you can also normalize the start and end of the loop to be the same audio level, which will eliminate and pop/click when it loops.

Thanks for the help. All useful information. I updated the software to 2.0 and there are no more problems.
