Which Kaossilator Scale?

Post by sephiramerkaba »

Hi Guys (c:

Wondering what people scale(s) people recommend for someone playing the kaossilator that might not be gifted in such an area. e.g. what scale(s) minimise the possability of hitting a bum not or something that doesnt sound right?

Many thanks!

The major and minor pentatonic scales are probably the simplest, however the "note range" setting will be more important for avoiding unwanted note changes.

If the note range spans 1 octave on your pad, it will be easier to hit each individual note, but if the note range spans 4 octaves on your pad, it will be really difficult to find and hit the note you want.

Whoops! I thought you were asking about the Kaossilator Pro -- the basic Kaossilator doesn't let you change the note range of the pad.

Sorry about that...

major and minor pentatonic are the way to go for what you want! but 3rds and 5ths scales are ok too!
