Problem connecting Knobs, Control Surface into DAW
Hello! I have some kind of problem in my Kronos' knobs and control surface. I intend to use the control surface & knobs to control my DAW (btw i am using Logic Pro 9). When I am assigning the buttons and knobs to Logic (via controller assignment window), it doesn't seems to work. For more info, my Kronos is updated to the latest firmware, the EXT button is also pressed. I hope you guys can reply, thank you 8)
Hey I have a bunch of setups for Logic and it works great. First thing I might recommend is checking what setup you are using for the control surface on your Kronos. This can be changed and you can save 128 different setups.
Look in Global > Midi settings at the External Controllers. This is where you can set those up. The problem is that setup 00 doesn't really contain much so you aren't really sending any midi to Logic. You can look in the Logic transport and see what is being sent (or not).
So you have a couple choices - pick a different setup that is already included (Take a look at the ExtSetups doc) they have different things assigned based on different gear (not a Kronos) OR you can just edit each button to whatever you want.
Once you have enough assignements mapped to the controllers for your needs then the mapping Logic will probably work for you.
