Kaoss pro drops midi connection with Logic pro 9

Post by koii »

Hi guys! I've got a problem using kaoss pro as a midi controller with Logic Pro 9. First of all everything's up to date, even the kaoss firmware and midi driver. After a while Logic just stops receiving signals from kaoss. After replugging the usb cable it starts working again. Any ideas? In my opinion such bug is the dumbest thing ever.

check your USB power management settings in your computers settings. I've heard that some operating systems and pc's turn off USB ports if they don't seem to be in use after a while (although they actually are in use)

finding where to change this setting will differ depending on what operating system you are running... google is your friend.

hopefully its something simple and correctable like that.

My suggestion to your problem would be to sell your KPro. Its riddled with problems which you will spend more time trying to resolve than actual time spend making music.

Don't waste your time with the Kaossilator 2 either, its also a disappointment.
