If you select a program and the samples it needs are not loaded, you will see that message.

If you have a Kronos X version, it has program's in U-AA, U-BB, U-CC and I believe combies in U-A that are there so that you can try out or buy the extra sound packs that you can find in the Korg Options directory on your SSD.

Not at my Kronos now, so if I tell you from memory how to load them, I will get it wrong, but my X came with a separate leaflet describing exactly how to do this for the korg options directory.

Note: the normal Kronos has also banks U-AA to U-GG (since OS1.5).

Don't know how you got the red color, but I had it several times and it took me some while to realise it's a bug in the Kronos OS. This is what happens: if you add new (multi)samples and then overwrite with the "save all command" an existing PCG file, (multi)samples not saved. Then you get the red colored timbre in your combi after a reboot.

Solution: when you do "save all" under a new name, your Kronos will save the (multi)samples in the PCG file and after startup there will be no red colors :P .

Please Korg, make this work now once and for all.
