Has anyone been checking out the new youtube videos by Marc Doty on the MS20 mini? Does it all work the same way with the Kronos engine or have there been any surprises? http://www.youtube.com/user/AutomaticGa ... ture=watch

The Kronos MS-20 is polyphonic which is not really a surprise.

Those tutorials are really great.

I agree these videos are a really useful introduction to the MS20. I watched a load of them last night whilst tweaking the Kronos and learned quite a bit - even made the K sound the same as the new MS20 hardware...

Daughters needed to cover their ears however!

I've been waiting for each installment. Still biting my nails while we wait for Korg to let the little monster free !
For anyone who's not aware too, he's done a load of other synth demo's including some older ones on the MS20. All very informative & the older ms 20 ones are just as relevant to the new mini.
There are some recent vids on youtube too by Audiocentralmagazine.
They're worth a look too because they have the mini in different situations.....Check 'em out ! 8)
My current Korg gear. MS20 Mini... & now the .... Oh, maybe not !
...Had a few other Korg things over the years.

Mini is a real analog, while kronos MS-20 is a virtual analog.

Korg Kronos 88, Yamaha PSR s910, Korg C720, Yamaha DTX 520, Focusrite Scarlett 18i6, a pair of Yamaha HS80 in (soon not to be) an unproperly treated room..

I, for one, would be most interested in a sort of A/B, side-by-side comparison with the MS-20mini, original MS-20 and the MS-20EX (well, more like A/B/C). I've played with the original many moons ago and remember being more than impressed when KLC came out. The KLC MS-20 and MS-20EX are basically identical (except that the EX does more with external processing and mod matrix).

Does Mr. Automatic Gainsay take requests? :D

Cheers!
