KP3 - Clicks/artifacts in inputs (external and internal)

Post by marunami »

Hey'all

I have encountered a very nasty problem with my KP3.
It seems that small glitches/artifacts sneak into my samples during input.
What's even worse, the glitches/artifacts pollute already existing samples.

Is my machinery broken?

Any help/advice as to what the heck is going on would be much appreciated :)

If you listen to the recordings below, you'll know what I mean when I say artifacts.

EDIT:
As it says in the subject, it doesn't matter wether I use an external input (mic) or internal (Synth 01)

I just did a Factory Reset as an attempt to fix the problem, but somehow that only made it worse.

I'm not sure wether it's a hardware or a software problem.

I have a similar problem with my Kaossilator & Kaossilator Pro......just sounds like static in the background, but only on some of the voices. I've tried recording them at a lower volume and that helps some but doesn't eliminate the problem......??? :(

Update:

I ended up sending it back to the supplier (Thomann.de) and they sent me a new one. I think it was a defect component.
