KP3 Screen Problem (frozen pixel)

Post by nightmaker »

About a year ago there was a problem. For no reason.
Korg is behaving as if someone is holding finger on the touchscreen.
Sometimes it passes, but not for long.

At first, I decided to buy a new touch screen, bought, changed - the problem remained.

Help, plz.

For no reason? I looks like the KP3 was mauled by a Russian bear. It looks all scratched and beat up.

If the bezel around the pad is bent or has any debris that puts pressure on the pad, then it will never work right. But you did go through the pad recalibration procedure after replacing the pad, right? The replacement pad could be defective too.

Swapping parts between two KP3 is a very good and affordable way to diagnose and repair them. A broken KP3 isn't much good by itself, so you might be able to buy more spares to use as parts donors to get a working one out of two or more.
