Looking for a specific patch/soud to KRONOS

Post by salomao »

There is a patch/sound in TRITON I can't live without.

Now that I have a KRONOS, I could (and want to) stop using my TRITON in live performance. However, I need that sound and I cant find anything closer in KRONOS librarys, so I have to say that nowadays I am using both KRONOS and TRITON because of just one sound :roll:

The sound I'm particularly looking for is "Octave Brass Expression".

I haven't got the skills or time to create that sound in KRONOS or to sample and import it in KRONOS.

I am willing to pay for that sound so, if there is anyone around that could do that work, plçease send me a private message.

Btw, if anyone knows if that patch has already been created/sampled , please let me know where to find it.

Thanks

Why don't you just sample the Triton sound into your Kronos? That would seem to me to be the fastest, easiest way to solve your problem.
Korg Kronos 88 ::: Korg M3-73 ::: Yamaha MOXF6 ::: MacBook Pro w/ Cubase 7.5, Logic X & Mainstage + way too many VSTs
Line 6 Variax ::: Line 6 POD X3 Live! ::: Martin Acoustic/Electric ::: Mandolin

As I said before, I don't have the skill to do such a thing. I have tryed before but didn't succeed. That's why I am willing to pay someone who could do that for me, as I need that sound badly.

Thanx

haha, thats a fantastic brass sound isn't it!

I've re-created it on my kronos at home. it uses a sample from the triton called Brass Ens Sharp, so i've had to sample that into the kronos to make the sound work. if you like, i'll go pull it up on my kronos and upload it here later tonight

here you go, the pcg file and the sample.

https://www.dropbox.com/sh/90r14x1wtf0frwk/FbJrUdibby

to load it, put all these 3 files on a usb stick, plug it into your kronos, then go to disk mode and down the bottom where you see "internal hd" scroll up to your USB stick. select the pcg file and click open, you should see programs, or u-b or something like that. keep opening folders until you arrive at the patch list. there are other patch's programmed in this folder, but the patch you're looking for is number 41. load that program to wherever you want.

then click up and go back to the root menu of the USB and select the brass ens KMP file, press the load button and change the option from overwrite to append.

then lastly, go to wherever you loaded your program. If it plays then perfect. if not, you will probably see a red error message that says "samples unavailable" or something like that. to fix this, go to the OSC tab for OSC1, then look in the middle of your screen for some question marks. if you click the little arrow next to that and select the user sample bank, then change the sample to Brass Ens Sharp, then do the same for OSC2, then you should be in business.

let me know if theres any dramas

Finally, go to global mode, find the KSC Autoload page and at that same KSC file that you loaded before to the autoload list. It has to be on your Kronos SSD for this to work.
This way, it will automatically load the required samples when you start your Kronos.
