Mic input stops working

Post by Dmkeys »

Have any of you noticed that your mic input occassionally stops working.

This has only happened to me two or three times, but each time under the same circumstance. If I have to play a set, and the mic gain isn't set properly, and is lighting up red more than usual, then, after a while, the mic input stops working.

The next time I power up the instrument, its worked fine.

Any thoughts what is causing this, or how I can work around it?

Thanks!

mic input

Post by losackmd2 »

i had a brand new machine last year that after a month or two
the mic input totally broke! NO green light at all!
Korg in Long Island told me it would take weeks plus to fix it
maybe months
because it was an unheard of problem and the part may or may not be
available.
The company i bought it from was amazing and replaced the machine in a
matter of days
lucky me
the one i have now is fine ................
sorry
i know how you feel!

Mic stops working

Post by ronker »

Hi dmkeys
I had the problem of the mic being intermittent and sometimes going off
Altogether, I found out that it was the gate threshold activated too hi.
How I solved it was going into global menu, voice processor setup, changed gate to manual so threshold knob appears and it was sometimes set to hi about 12-2 ocklock) that's where the lead voice disappears so I changed it to (about ten o'clock) then went to top right drop down menu and write global voice processor set up and I've never had the problem again.
I hope this is all that's wrong with yours.
