Ambient Rock combi demo: Ascension Island QR
Here's an new demo with a combi called: 'Ascension Island QR' from the Sunrise Dreams Combi collection which will be released in december 2013.
This combi is an ambient Rock style Piano combi: It starts with an ambient piano tune which turns (at 03:24) to a more heavy rock type of tune by adding Power Guitar Chords and Rock drums which are all played by KARMA in the Combi. This combi shows how the piano type of combis works in my collection. You can play whatever you want and the Combi fills it with extra patterns.
Everything you hear is just one KARMA scene of this ambient combi the patterns are activated with the first 4 buttons on the second row.
At the more heavy part of the song i've also played a lead with the KingKorg on top of the combi.
There are 4 KARMA modules used for this combi:
module A: Ambient Guitar
module B: Power Chord Guitar
module C: Rock Drums
module D: Bass
The Sunrise Dreams Combi collection contains 32 combis for different styles of music. There are ambient, neo soul and lots of piano accompany styles in the collection where you play the piano and KARMA does the rest based on the chords you play.
I hope you like it.

thanks guys for the comments!Lou wrote:Great presentation! Looking forward to the release, thanks for sharing.
Just curious, did you add lighting to your room or was it video fx?
I've got more questions about the color lighting in my studio, this is done by using two Philips Living Color Lights which are paired to the same remote control so they run in sync. With this remote i can choose any color out of 16 million colors for the lightning in the studio. But there's also a button to make the colors change constantly, you can set the interval how fast the colors has to change. This is the mode i use for the video.
I use two of these lights:

When using the lights in my studio (without filming) i use a soft yellow / white color which gives the studio a warm lighting atmosphere.

that's an interesting question !Vangelismusic wrote:GREAT! I enjoyed that, now, just curious, could that lead sound have been played on the KRONOS? probably?
this specific lead sound would be hard to recreate on the kronos in my opinion. I use all three oscs of the KingKorg to create that sound which is based on the Xmod Saw Oscillator. Through the virtual patch cable system om the kingkorg i change different parameters of the oscs to get that sound.
Especially the part where i play the sound through the moog filter (which is incredible smooth and stepless on the king korg) i doubt that i could get that sound from the korg.
By using the Cross Modulation Oscillator type I have access to all these overtones in the sound, i'm not sure how to do this on the kronos, an lfo isn't fast enough to use for this modulation, so maybe someone else knows how to simulate an Xmod Osc ?
You can get close though on the kronos, but i think it would be though to give it the same impact level as on the kingkorg.
