Kronos X 88 velocity problem.

Post by badhand »

Just bought Kronos X 88 to operate with Logic pro x and Omnisphere. When I play certain sounds like acoustic guitar, I can't trigger guitar sildes in Logic or Omnisphere no matter how hard i play. Tried changing velocity levels but then the sound is unplayable. Tried recording and went back to events menu to look at velocity and yeah. It's too low to trigger other samples. I had a Motif es 8 and never had an issue. Anyone having the same problem or a fix or should I just return it.

In global / basic, check that velocity curve is at 9 and in global / midi check midi channel to 1, midi int clock to Internal, receive ext real time commands enabled. Check if your K' OS is 2.11 (latest) you can see it in GLobal / Options info and upper right corner =)

I have an 88 and my velocity only goes up to around 108 if I really smash it. It was returned to Korg who tested it and said it was normal as they could get 127, I can't though.

I think they used a hammer to test it!

P.S. You can use the Velocity Processor in Logic X and set it up as an expander to scale up the weak kronos velocity.
