Triton Extreme MIDI Logic X question

Hi, I am new to using the Triton Extreme, and have set-up a MIDI environment for it in Logic X. I have two questions that I cannot seem to find answers for. 1) Unlike my MIDI other MIDI instruments, if I try to set-up two tracks, each using a different channel of the Triton in Logic, I cannot get the MIDI command to switch channels in the Triton. I can go into the Triton General MIDI menu and switch it manually, but not from the software. Is there a way to get this to work?

2) When I set my Triton Global system preferences and lock the "pin" in the Triton i.e. Bank map Korg v. GM, or turn off Local Control, whenever I turn the Triton on, my preferences are reset, and none of my saved changes are retained. It also always defaults to COMBI mode when turned on. Is there a way to actually save system preferences once and for all?
