Just bought my kronos x a few weeks and I was wondering if it's possible to use a sample from your sample library and use it when creating your combis?
Sorry if this is such a basic question.........still learning how this beast of a machine works!
Thanks guys.
Question for you pros!

There are indeed a lot of approaches to work with samples in your Kronos keyboard. The basics to set this up are all the same:
- create a multisample
- save the multisample to a KSC file
- Create an hd1 program with that multisample
- set the KSC file to autoload in the global tab so that it's available when you reboot the kronos
Now since there are so many ways to use it, i've added examples of the three most used ways in some videos below (there are more ways which you can find on my channel, like for instance using backing tracks or using custom samples in wave sequences)
I hope this helps you a little bit understanding what kind of possibilities you have on a kronos.
Here's an example multisample used across the complete keyboard

You can create this by adding samples to multiple keyzones in a multisample. Then create an HD-1 program which uses this multisample.
Here's an example where a vocal sample is added to the combi in realtime.

You can create this by adding the vocal sample and assign it to 1 key (in this case C#1 if i recall correctly) and then create an HD-1 program for it. The hold function is activated for that sample so that when it's activated it plays the complete sample before stopping it.
Here's an example where sound effect samples and a hihat loop are added to a combi by pressing the sound effect key at the same time.

You can create this by adding the multiple samples to different keys in a multisample. Then create an hd1 program (i've called it trance effects) that have those samples assigned to different keys or even to existing keys in your standard programs with just a velocity switch (so that you can play the normal sounds, but if you hit it hard at a specific velocity that the sample will play). The HiHat loop is activated by a KARMA module which generates a note on every measure so that the hihat always is in sync with the rest of the drums in your combi (in this case i use the Pad sound KARMA module for that, so it has 2 purposes).
