I'm fairly new to Korg and i'm still trying to learn how to manage samples and programs. I made the mistake of trying to append a .pcg into a already used user bank. Why? Because i like system and order. There was no clear way to make the programs that i wanted to import get into the bank i already had begun to use, so i saw the word APPEND. Great! This will do the trick. Oh, Holiest cr*p! i re-wrote the whole bank! UNDOOO!" But there is no UNDO on the Kronos X, is there? Why is there no UNDO? buhu... I only lost 5 sounds, and i know how to rebuild them - but its kinda annoying that there's no UNDO.
Sure, this is an IUE (idiot user error,) but come on, the Korg disk and file system is just about as good as a brick is at flying. You need a PhD to manouvre the damn thing and i only have a masters degree in performing arts. Its predestined to doom.
WISHLIST Korg R&D: please make a idiot-proof file managment system: One file (or package, like .app in OS X) with whatever data. Tell me what it contains, programs/combis/etc. Make me choose what i want to use from the file, one program or a whole combi. Tell me where i can put it, and inform said idiot that this or that slot is un-available. Don't give me a gazillion options, just put the data where it should be, and make it work. No auto-load KSC and s**t. To much hassle. I aint saying it will be easy, but we don't do stuff 'cause its easy, now do we?
(...)not because they are easy, but because they are hard(...)
End rant
