What is the difference between M fx & T fx?

Is there a difference between Master effects & Total effects? I'm used to using a triton & it only has master & input effects.

yes there is a huge difference.

TFX are always used for all the sounds together, you can use this for instance for EQ, limiting or compressing.

MFX are used per sound where you can determine the amount of effect per sound through the MFX send level setting with a sound. For instance when you use reverb and you need that reverb on more sounds you can set the 'wet send' level per sound and it will only cost you one reverb for all the sounds.

IFX are mostly used per sound (although the kronos allows to use IFX over multiple sounds).

It's good to know the difference between IFX and MFX.
- IFX is used to alter the sound characteristics. So the sound is created in the sound engine and feeded into the IFX effect before you hear the sound. (for instance: Chorus, distortion, phaser, etc.)
- MFX is used to add effects to a sound. So the sound is created in the sound engine, you will hear that sound and on top of the sound the MFX effect is added to that sound. (for instance: delay, reverb)
- TFX is used to modify the complete sound palet of your sound or combi, it effects everything (including the ifx and mfx effects). So it's used to sculpture the end sound result. (for instance: EQ, Limiter, Compressor)
