Just bought a new to me M3m, with professionally refurbished screen.
After short use, screen suddenly goes to distorted static/rainbow of colors etc. If I tap on the case, i can get the screen to stabilize - for a while.
Interestingly, even when it is flipping out, the touch screen is responsive - i can change patches and settings without be able to see what i am touching.
The unit was recently shipped- is there something lose I can check for? I will watch screen replacement videos tonight for further ideas....

This does not sound like the usual screen problem. If the touch is still responsive then I would think that the issue is with the underlaying LCD display. Maybe just a loose cable or possibly a defective screen.
I watched the videos and the screen is not so easy to get to. If you are comfortable taking apart your M3 then check for loose cables. Otherwise you may be looking at replacing the screen.

LCD problem
I watched the youtube video, and I will take it apart tonight - check and clean connections. Should i use one of those aerosol dust cleaners? too much air pressure?

fixed for now
Good news, i found that the main ribbon connector was not in full contact, because the prior owner broke the little black retaining clips. Bad news, these clips are part of the logic board. sigh.
for now I rigged a shim to keep pressure on the connector, works great, but not a perfect solution. Where to find another small logic board?
