PA3X Style Player on Windows PC

Post by Parojon »

Hello Everyone,

Is there a Software that would play PA3X styles on a Windows PC exactly like how it would sounds on PA3X?

FYI - My styles have a lot of custom sounds and imported samples.

Thanks.

While there are many software arrangers, some of which even read Pa3X format styles directly (like vArranger2), none of them come with a sound engine that contains quality sounds that one could compare to a KORG or a Yamaha.

The likes of vArranger does however allow you to load in your own sounds, and even output to VST. I don't think it has a style creator function though, and it's only 32bit software, so there's that limitation as to how much ram it can address. Which can be an issue if your using your own samples.

Sharp.

Thanks Sharp.

What I was looking for is a software that can play the styles as similar to PA3X on a portable laptop for example where I can control the tempo without having to carry my PA3X with me for style accompaniment.

Sometimes for a gig when I use an instrument like a Guitar or a Flute but want to use the styles from the PA3X (without taking my PA3X with me), hence I would want the styles on my laptop with the capability to control its tempo, i.e. not just a wav or a long sound file.

I don't really get what your looking for.

It almost sounds like your after something like "Band in a box" where you type in chords into a PC and it plays them back on the night.

Parajon,

If you are playing guitar how are you controlling the PA3X? Are you loading a midi file and having the keyboard play that? Understanding your set up when you have the PA3X will help with your question about using a laptop for accompaniment of styles.

Thanks,

Terry
