Where can I order led circuit boards for self repair?

Post by hwh »

My local Norwegian Korg distributor EM Nordic, refuses to do the replacement of defective led circuit boards, because my PA2x pro was originally purchased in France 2008.
I am a skilled computer technician, so I am capable to do the repair myself.

Can somebody please tell me where I can order new led circuit boards (right and left) for my Korg PA2x pro?

Please help.

You might try these folks ...

http://www.guitar-parts.com/catalog/korg

IF you're talking about the left and right panel boards with the LEDs on them the part numbers are ...

GRA0002130
GRA0002131

The blue LEDs on those boards are ...

LED0001004

Good Luck.

Hello hwh,
sorry if I write to you after 4 years after your last post.
Did you solve the led problem?
You said that you are a skilled technician, did you find out what kind of leds we can buy to fix the pa2x pro by ourselves?
I would like to buy from Ebay a pack of 100 pcs.
I know that they are only 3mm wide but what kind of luminosity and other characteristics do they have to have?

thank you in advance

Hello nilom,

I think you can use any 3mm LEDs in general. You can see in the following link, that someone has use even white LEDs:

My understanding is that it was NOT the LEDs that were causing the problem

You might want to check before you start replacing LEDs - there is a post from Korg somewhere buried in these forums about that...

Yes you are right.
I found these two important ones:

Korg Forums __ View topic - If you STILL have failed LEDs, please read this....

and

Korg Forums __ View topic - Pa2X LED - Official Response from KORG Italy.

Thanks a lot.
