ok will try that
I tried tapping the kick during a performance, and I couldn't get the second beat to be at the same volume -- annoying.

using E2 live
One thing is the sound you get from typical PA speakers -- I did a gig with a pair of JBL eon and the kick in particular sounded like crap. At my house I use stereo speakers and a subwoofer -- sounds awesome. If you are performing with E2 make sure they have a sub, or bring a large stereo speaker ...

double kick beat; 2nd beat is louder?
howdy, I note that if I program or play a double kick, like if I have a kick on 1 and then also on 3/16 the second kick is way exaggerated. how do you eliminate this default so the second in adjacent beats is the same volume? thx.

E2 cuts out volume feed on some patches
I often headphone out from E2 to aux in on my synth, or the other way around. The E2 cuts out like every 5 seconds for one second; it seems to be more likely on some patches than others. Can anyone tell me the cause?
thx.
thx.

Step edit piano melody, or midi E2 piano from a keyboard.
The piano sound on E2 is not bad if tweaked right. I want to step edit some simple piano melodies. Procedure is a) erase all data on the part with Part Erase, b) in Sequence Mode choose beats you want piano to hit, c) how do I choose the notes associated with the step?? from Keyboard Mode? Also I ...

Save 32 Patterns at once?
I will prob get an 8gig SD card. How does the 32 patterns at once work? I don't see it in the manual.
Also, what does the USB do? Ideally in future versions you can save pattern data right to your computer via USB, thx all.

e2 save
thx roblabs: 1. how important is it to do this, is the E2 capable of losing pattern data? 2. I suppose when formatting the SD card there is no risk of accidentally formatting the E2 back to factory presets? ideally, the next version will USB to computer and then you can just store all your pattern ...

E2 save patterns to SD card
BTW, as for the many 'complaints' about the E2, my tech needs are maybe way less than most, but I am very happy with it, biggest improvements over the ER MKII -- a) sounds are awesome, b) I like being able to choose a sound, kick/snare etc, and edit, rather than just move knobs to get to a kick ...

E2 not 'crippled'
I agree with Sharps 'save pattern' should do just that. ps: question even Korg hasn't been able to answer yet. a standard issue with the preset patterns is that some pads play a different note depending on what steps they are assigned to in the sequence. does anyone know what causes this, how to ...

E2 pads play melody
I like many of the preset patterns, so I don't want to clear the sequence and start from scratch. I just want to go to some pad and tell it to play the same note, or to simplify the number of notes it plays; e.g. instead of a pad playing 1 4 3 6 5 7... (notes in the key), I would rather it just has ...

E2 -- pads play a pattern
In the presets a pad plays a sequence of notes, not just the same note at all parts in the sequence -- often many of the pads in the top row. Since I am playing with a synth and guitar I don't really want the E2 pads to play their own melody -- I would rather simplify it so the pad plays the same ...
